It a clear
sky winter afternoon, when a open theli rickshaw is being full controlled and
driven by Sapna, it is tough to drive this cycling rickshaw on fast traffic
moving road where everyone is driving their vehicles to reach their respective
offices, client meetings, shops, business, service, but sapna is the only
driver on complete road who is full of life and also enjoying the ride like
there is no tomorrow, on the wooden card which is attached to cycle front is
also houseful with 4 passengers who are also from sapna family.
So back seat
passengers are sapna siblings monika & suraj, her mother and the bakri who
lives with them -The Goat, on being asked the purpose of this afternoon joyful
ride, the answer brought surprise on reporter face as Goat is suffering from
fever since few days, and this family is bringing back this goat after getting
diagnosed and consulted by a doctor in east delhi, while their youngest brother
suraj is taking afternoon long nap on shoulder of his mother, monika the
younger sister is being shy due to camera, so questions are answered by only
sapna and her mother, and goat eyes are opened but he look very tired and not
moving at all.
This family
lives in a slum near Yamuna river which has to be moved to main road during
rainy season as their slums are always vanishes in overflowing flooded Yamuna,
their father works as a laborer nearby area, so instead of waiting for a
ambulance or any medical help, this mother daughter team decided to become
aatma nirbhar and converted this cycle rickshaw into a temporary animal
ambulance which has a rope tied to goat instead of oxygen pipes.
While goat
and suraj are lost in their day dreams, rest of family is full enjoying a sunny
Eco-friendly ride to doctor.
